Today we hear the story of the woman at the well, from her perspective, to show how Jesus meets people in their shame and isolation, truly sees them, and gives them a new identity. Rather than condemning her, he affirms her worth and calls her into purpose. His message is that we are known and loved as we are, and like her, we are sent back into our everyday lives not in shame, but as people who carry light and share that truth with others.

Todays' sermon reflects on Jesus’s temptation in the wilderness to show that God doesn’t remove our struggles for us - we must face them ourselves. The “voice of God” isn’t always dramatic or external, but something we carry within us, reminding us of our worth. Especially during Lent, we are called to resist distractions and cultural pressures, trust that we are already loved, and respond to doubt by remembering: we know who God is, and we know who we are.

The Transfiguration is not only about Christ’s glory. It is a mirror showing the hidden light within every human heart. The spiritual life is learning to recognize that interior light — the Nuhra — the image of God already shining within you.
