Food Project
A simple system that really works.
The Food Project is an innovative, new way to fight hunger in our community. You want to help. We make it easy.
It’s all in the power of One Green Bag.
It’s Built Around 2 Easy Volunteer Jobs.

Food Donor
The Food Donors fill a green bag with nonperishable food every other month
and put it outside their front doors for pick up.

Neighborhood Coordinator
Neighborhood Coordinators pick up donors’ green bags every other month and take them to local food bank
How it works in 3 Simple Steps
Our Motto is "You want to Help; We make it simple." See how simple helping feed our neighbors can be.

Sign Up and Fill Up a Bag
Neighbors sign up to be regular Food Donors. Each week when they go food shopping, they buy an extra nonperishable item (or two) and store it in our reusable green bag.

Put it Outside
Every other month — on the third Saturday of odd numbered months (Jan, March, May, July, September, November), our Food Donors put their green bags full of food outside their front doors.

We Pick it Up
Our Neighborhood Coordinators pick up bags and take them to the local food bank, where more volunteers are waiting to unload and sort the food. By the end of Pickup Day, the food is ready to distribute. That’s it!
