July 13th, 2025 - Cindy's Reflections on the story of the Good Samaritan

This Sunday, Cindy shared how the Gospel call to “love your neighbor as yourself” has shaped her life and faith. From her childhood curiosity about Scripture to finding a spiritual home in the Episcopal Church, Cindy’s journey has always been rooted in compassion and service. Alongside her husband Larry, she discovered practical ways to “go and do likewise”—from food bank work with their children to providing veterinary care for the pets of unhoused neighbors in Seattle.

Today, Cindy continues that work through the Essentials ministry at St. Clare’s, offering dignity, care, and hospitality to neighbors in need. Her story reminds us that loving our neighbor often begins with simple acts of provision, service, and compassion—and that even small gestures can be life-changing.
