August 31st, 2025 - The Banquet Table

In this week’s sermon on Luke 14:7–14, we imagine the middle school lunchroom—where everyone knows which tables are safe and which ones will leave you standing alone. Jesus challenges that same instinct in us, calling us to stop measuring worth by status and to see God’s kingdom as an ever-expanding circle of welcome. Together at St. Clare’s, we are learning what it means to set a table where no one is left out and where God’s grace keeps drawing us wider.
