This weekend is CROP Walk!

We approach this event in solidarity with those who hunger physically and spiritually in Snoqualmie Valley and around the world. The funds we raise go to Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank (25%) and Church World Services’ food distribution network (75%). Get a car washed for the cause…join in ecumenical worship…walk the walk…enjoy the potluck!

Step into any or all of these CROP-related options:

Car Wash CROP Walk Fundraiser behind Les Schwab in North Bend, 11 am – 2 pm Saturday.

* CROP Hunger Walk begins Sunday at 12:15 pm at Meadowbrook Interpretive Center (1711 Boalch Ave, Snoqualmie). Join with additional friends from Our Lady of Sorrows and Mt Si Lutheran at the Meadowbrook Interpretive Center, heading to Centennial Field and back (or a portion thereof). Join the Snoqualmie Valley walk team by registering online at www.crophungerwalk.org, or on paper before the walk begins.

* Potluck lunch follows the walk. St. Clare’s is asked to bring desserts. (Food that arrives at the start of worship can be kept cool or warm as needed.) Rain or shine we anticipate a fun and purposeful family event. Extra thanks to youth car-washers, food bringers, parking assistants, walkers, and all donors!

OTHER NEWS

What a great evening was had to raise money for the re-graveling of our parking lot. Along with a wonderful meal and great fellowship, we raised over $725!!!! We have a quote from the gravel company for $400, so we should be able to have the lot graded prior to the gravel coming in hopes that it will help slow down the creation of new potholes. MANY THANKS to Cindy and Larry Remick for a great evening and to Anne Neilson for being our auctioneer! CHECK OUT SOME PHOTOS OF THE FUN!

IN JUNE

ON June 4th WE’LL HAVE THE GRAVEL DELIVERED AND HAVE A SPRING WORK PARTY TO GET THINGS LOOKING NICE FOR THE SUMMER!

Please bring all your clothes, bedding, coats, shoes, etc. to donate to their cause and help us reach out to those in need with the proceeds. You may bring garbage bags filled with items and store them in the office from now until the collection day. Talk with Amy Workman for more information.
