LAST CHANCE!!!!! In June we will put out our coin bucket for the month to raise money to support a local outreach group. Please bring your loose change and dump it in the bucket each Sunday. Our goal is $50 each quarter and we blew the lid off the first quarter’s goal by giving $230 to the Snoqualmie Valley Transportation Association to buy 23, 10-pass booklets for local riders. These are the white buses that you see driving around the Valley.
This Sunday is the 4th Sunday after Pentecost. We will be in this “green season” until Advent begins in late November. The readings for Sunday are here so you can read up and think about them before church. We’ll be using the readings from Track 2 this week. (Job)
Sign up to care for our children during the first part of the service. During July & August there is no Godly Play offered, so there is a signup on the Whiteboard in the Social Hall to offer your gift to our kids. You may sing, read, play games, do a craft – anything you’d like. Thanks in advance!!!
There are a number of things on the table in the social hall that need to go home…glasswear/coffee cups, vases, storage containers, etc. NEW!!! An olive green cap and a blue “Cape Cod” jacket were left after the workparty last Sunday.
During the summer months Sue & Patty will be taking furlough time. Sue will be around periodically to pay bills and answer email. Patty will preside on Sunday morning (except for vacation) and is always available for pastoral emergencies.
Nancy Byrnes has generously led our Godly Play program this year and as this is a 10-month position, the classrooms will have no scheduled teachers. If you would like to volunteer to staff the room on Sunday, please sign up on the sheet in the Social Hall. And, thank you Nancy!!!
THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER
Jeff Waters has constructed some shelving in the toddler room so we can get a lot of the stuff up off the floor. If you’d like to spend a few minutes organizing things on the new shelves that would be wonderful…and many thanks Jeff!
Summer Painting party. Be watching for a couple opportunities this summer to gather with friends to paint the trim on the buildings. We have the paint & equipment, just need the bodies to come put in some time to finish up our project. The trim color is the Peppercorn gray that is already in some areas, and we hope to paint the doors Episcopal Red. We’ll make sure the pizza is ordered and have some good fellowship time.
