Again, many thanks to the 50 people (young and old) who showed up last Sunday for worship, work, & a great BBQ! We got SO much done and there are too many people who worked really hard that I have to give a shout out to everyone! You all made my gratitude list for the day.
This Sunday is the 4th Sunday after Pentecost. We will be in this “green season” until Advent begins in late November. The readings for Sunday are here so you can read up and think about them before church. We’ll be using the readings from Track 2 this week. (Job)
There are a number of things on the table in the social hall that need to go home…glasswear/coffee cups, vases, storage containers, etc. NEW!!! An olive green cap and a blue “Cape Cod” jacket were left after the workparty last Sunday.
FUNDRAISING & OUTREACH
In June we will put out our coin bucket for the month to raise money to support a local outreach group. Please bring your loose change and dump it in the bucket each Sunday. Our goal is $50 each quarter and we blew the lid off the first quarter’s goal by giving $230 to the Snoqualmie Valley Transportation Association to buy 23, 10-pass booklets for local riders. These are the white buses that you see driving around the Valley.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Groups are forming to organize both the Bridge Group (4th – 7th grades) and Godly Play (1st – 3rd grades) for this fall. We will need to organize activities & curriculum for the Bridge Group and hire a Godly Play director to be our lead story-teller. If you would like to participate in either of these groups, please let me know.
