What’s New – June 12th

THIS SUNDAY

Church Work DayOn June 14th, we will have an all church Ministry Sunday and end of year BBQ. Come in your work duds & bring your gloves & tools and we’ll spiffy up St. Clare’s inside and out (weather cooperating). We have a list with things to do from easy to a bit more challenging…Something for everyone. And then we’ll celebrate the end of the school year with a BBQ. Our fellow worshipers from Living Waters will join us for the cleanup and will provide some wonderful Indian food.

ReadingsThis Sunday is the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost. We will be in this “green season” until Advent begins in late November. Our readings will cover historical stories from the Old Testament, major portions of many of the Letters of Paul & the other early writers, plus most of the Gospel according to Mark. The readings for Sunday are here so you can read up and think about them before church.

Coffee CupThere are a number of things on the table in the social hall that need to go home…glasswear/coffee cups, vases, storage containers, etc.

FUNDRAISING & OUTREACH

OpportunityJune Giving Opportunities for St. Clare’s
$25 for office supplies
$210 for Church Windows Software

CoinsIn June we will put out our coin bucket for the month to raise money to support a local outreach group. Please bring your loose change and dump it in the bucket each Sunday. Our goal is $50 each quarter and we blew the lid off the first quarter’s goal by giving $230 to the Snoqualmie Valley Transportation Association to buy 23, 10-pass booklets for local riders. These are the white buses that you see driving around the Valley.

Food BankWe now have our own food contribution barrel compliments of the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank. Bring a can/box or two of non-perishable food & let’s see how long it takes to fill it.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Sunday SchoolGroups are forming to organize both the Bridge Group (4th – 7th grades) and Godly Play (1st – 3rd grades) for this fall. We will need to organize activities & curriculum for the Bridge Group and hire a Godly Play director to be our lead story-teller. If you would like to participate in either of these groups, please let me know.
